How to Remove Internet Antivirus 2011 Malware / Scareware
Internet Antivirus 2011 is a fake anti virus program design to make users think they have infections that are harmful to the PC. Internet Antivrius 2011 will display false notifications in the task bar informing of the system being at risk and to run the software. If the software is ran it will display a list of infections that are produced by the program in hopes users will pay for there software, users should know that this is a scam and should not be purchased. Not only will this program display false security notifications but also causes internet browsers to redirect internet searches, a change in the browsers homepage, and lower security settings in your internet options.
Manual Removal: Because of the browser redirects that are causes by Internet Antivirus 2011 first open up internet explorer. Next goto the Tools tab at the top. From here choose Options. Once the internet options are opened choose the connections tab, and in this window choose LAN settings. In this window uncheck the box for the Proxy server, this will disable the redirects from the browser. Close the internet browser, and then press Ctrl+Shift+Esc, this will open the task manager. From here click the processes tab, the processes we are looking to disable are energy.exe, exec.exe, Internet Antivirus 2011.exe, CLSV.exe, and {random}.exe (the random is going to be a bunch of numbers that are created randomly from the program).
Next the files associated with Internet Antivirus 2011 will need to removed:
