Manual Removal of Memory Fixer: Because of the nature of his particular case of spyware there are two ways to remove this software. First because Memory Fixer is ran automatically at start up we will need to disable the program from running, to do this we will open up Windows Task Manager, to do this press Ctril+Shift+Esc, or open a run command and type “taskmgr” (Without quotes) this will open a new window. Select the processes tab at the top, the process we are looking for will be {random string of numbers}.exe once found right click the process and choose end task. Memory Fixer will create a random entry full of numbers so the actual process name will be random. Second way to disable Memory Fixer from running is to shutdown the machine and boot into safe mode. To boot into safe mood users will need to press F8 during windows startup to get the advance startup menu, then choose safe mode with networking. This will start Windows in safe mode which only loads necessary Windows files and will not run Memory Fixer. Once either method is used you will need to delete the following files. General Information: Conficker is a virus known as a worm.
