How to Remove Windows Firewall Unit Virus

Though the Windows Firewall Unit may seem like a new security protection software which can help you improve your computer’s firewall system, the Windows Firewall Unit virus is actually a rogue utility which can damage your computer severely. Having a good user interface, this virus can easily attract a lot of users who are enticed with the benefits that it offers, unknown to many, this malware will infect your system as soon as it comes into contact with your computer. It has a similar interface much like the other well known viruses like the Windows Profile System, Windows repairing system, and the Windows precautions center virus. Though it may be considered as a typical rogue ware, the way with which it infiltrates your computer is quite unique since it will do so without you ever noticing it and without your permission, the virus will appear suddenly on your screen.

The scanners that the Windows Firewall Unit malware runs on your screen are usually hard to stop, and these scanners will also usually execute as soon as you turn on your computer. The Windows Firewall Unit will keep on showing you false alerts and messages which will tell you that your computer is now heavily infected with viruses, malwares and other threats. Of course, the scanner will not be bothered with which computer it attacks simply because it will always show an alarming result no matter what. The Windows Firewall Unit will then ask you to buy the full version of their product so you can easily fix the so-called threats in your system. I strongly advise that you stay away from clicking the pop ups and that you never send any money or credit card information to them, doing so will only lead to a waste of money since they will not be sending you any useful softwares afterwards. To resolve the issue, you need to get rid of Windows Firewall Unit files in your system, you can follow the simple steps below.

The Windows Firewall Unit Manual Removal Steps:

Please take the time to back up your system before you go through the manual removal steps. You need to keep in mind that any errors during the Windows Firewall Unit file deletion will cause serious problem and this is why you need to double check everything first.

  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SystemRestore “DisableSR ” = ’1′

Delete the following Windows Firewall Unit files:

  • %UserProfile%\Application Data\Microsoft\[random].exe

The Windows Firewall Unit manual removal procedure may require a certain level of technical skill and it may be too complicated for new computer users. The lack of technical skill and the slightest error during the deletion may cause an irreparable system corruption.  What’s more, undeleted files and objects that remain hidden may cause the virus to reanimate automatically after incomplete removal.
